While organizing my office, I came across an old printed email, an email I sent to myself on October 4th, 2010.
It is strange how things happen “at the right time”. I have this habit of sending myself messages and / or sending messages that I wanted to send to some people whom I did not have the opportunity to have a proper “closure” the way I would desire to. I write the message and email it (to myself) delivering the message to the universe so it may then decide whether the message will or not be properly delivered through the blowing winds.
The message written in this email made me think of my present time, where I am career transitioning into coaching, this moment when I stopped seeing my passion as a hobby and embraced the coaching profession as my new full time career. Now, I’m living and breathing what I know to be the purpose that I sought to follow my entire life!
It is lovely to see people ignite their flames of life from within, and begin living their dreams rather than spending a lifetime dreaming and accepting life as a means to merely “survive”… Living is to really FEEL alive, and aliveness is not for anyone. Living life to its fullest is a gift granted to the greatest, as it takes time, lots of studies, dedication and requires a lot of discipline. Many prefer to remain wondering, as if their dreams were impossible to achieve.
As Zig Ziglar once said: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”
The email I sent to myself 6 years ago had the following message:
“In life, nothing happens by chance, everything always has an explanation and a reason to be, even when these facts are not understood immediately… Learn to observe the signs, learn to listen to your heart, learn to trust your instincts and most importantly, learn to have patience to be able to wait with serenity the new opportunities that are on the way…
When the time is right, you will have a chance to understand why the boat sailed towards the north when the winds were blowing towards the south… Maybe you were not aware of the huge waterfall that it was about to encounter on its way if you had insisted and followed the path shown on that map. Always remember that the writings will always be straight despite the crooked lines! Believe, trust and be always grateful… Only… Feel grateful! “

There is a technique taught during the Co-Active Coaching training, school I chose to study and get my certification from, that helps us find our inner leader… I officially started my coaching studies last year even though I was already instinctively working with coaching for the longest time. My inner leader is myself when I’m Coaching. There is the person Cris and there is Cris, The Phoenix Coach, the powerhouse bombshell Cris which is the best version of myself. Apparently my Coach and inner leader was already sending me signs and teaching me about Coaching long before I was even aware of her existence.
In the documentary film What the Bleep Do We Know!? Ramtha asks an interesting question: “Have you ever stopped for a moment and looked at yourself through the eyes of the ultimate observer?” – Have you?
I find very interesting this invitation to stop everything for a moment and simply allow the contemplation of the path traveled. Sometimes we forget to celebrate the progress made yesterday which led us to today…
The best moment of life is now, and the best day will always be today. Celebrate your progress, you’ve come a long way! And if you are curious to uncover your inner leader, learn more about your life purpose and values, go ahead and schedule your 30 Min. Experience Session! Do not let your life pass without living it!
Make it outstanding!
Coach Cris.
