The beauty and the curse of the self development path I chose to follow is that there is no way back.

Once you learn and step forward, there is no way to ‘un-learn’, ‘un-see’, and ‘un-experience’ it.

The curse for some and the curse I experienced for quite some time, is to look back and realize how much others have yet to become and walk their paths, which may cause a lack of belonging sensation as if the old friends no longer ‘fit’ our new ‘lifestyle’.

I’ve been through this, and today, I understand better… I understand that not everyone is where I am, and that I am not even close to being where some already are… I understand that, in the end… I will never get ‘there’, and that is what makes it so wonderful!

I understand that, having compassion and understanding the fact that everyone has their own pace, is my best way to see this situation, as I bring my understanding and love, holding space so others may proceed and learn what they need to learn and not what ‘I’ want them to learn…

I understand that, what may have bothered me in the past, while looking back at those I left ‘behind’ was truly, a reflection of who I once was…

I once did a hypnosis exercise during my practitioner training where I wanted to get a restraining order to keep my inner child away, far, far away from me… Today I exchanged that feeling with the appreciation of who I’ve become BECAUSE I once was who I was in my past.

Have patience with yourself, be kind… What bothers you about others may just be the reflection of what you see or once saw in yourself.

Grateful for my everyday continuous learnings and discoveries…
